Unity has acquired SyncSketch, creator of real-time collaboration tools that allow users to work together remotely, for an undisclosed fee.
The engine maker said the deal will provide the Unity creator community with more productivity tools, adding that SyncSketch is “laser focused on serving artists.”
The SyncSketch platform supports 2D imagery, video, 3D models, and more, allowing users to rotate assets, play with lighting, add notes, and share feedback in real-time.
The company has previously worked with Unity and other industry names including Frontier Developments and Activision Blizzard.

The news comes shortly after Unity purchased visual effect powerhouse Weta Digital for $1.63 billion.
